China Gets Cellular + WiFi iPad mini and 4th Generation iPad from Friday

Apple's Chinese release of the iPad mini and 4th generation iPad, back in December, covered the WiFi-only variants, as the Cupertino, California-based company was hammering out a deal to launch the tablets' cellular-enabled variants, with Chinese regulators and cellular operators. Apparently the work is through, and the company announced availability of the two from Friday, the 18th of this month.

The cellular+WiFi variants of 4th gen. iPad and the iPad mini will be available in black and white, all capacity-based variants found in other countries. The two will be sold through Apple Stores (entry by appointment), Apple online store, and authorized retailers. Local cellular operators will offer 3G HSPA+ plans, with speeds of up to 21.1 Mbps.
