Curiosity Visits Mars

MAKING TRACKS NASA?s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, passing above the Curiosity rover, took this picture on Sept. 2, showing not only the rover, but also its tracks in the dust after the first few drives. The color in the image has been altered to make the tracks more easily seen. The two circular patches are where the spacecraft?s descent engines blew away the top layer of dust during landing.
